Find out more about this exciting fundraiser in aid of the WJHS Learning Commons. Open to 6th and 7th Graders only.
The WJHS Nominating Committee has recommended the following slate of officers for the 2016-17 PTO Board.
The entire state, including the General Board, will be voted on at the PTO meeting held Thursday, May 12.
We had a wonderful week for WJHS PTO last week, and filled four of the remaining 2016-2017 board positions! Of the 42 PTO positions that we have to fill for next year, only 2 remain open:
- Assistant Clubs (not required to attend Exec Board)
- Community Research Committee (we have one representative and need a second, not required to attend the Exec Board)
Once again the WJHS PTO is teaming with SchoolKidz to make ordering back-to-school supplies for incoming 7th and 8th Graders easy. Here’s how to order:
Spring Clubs are now running. Please see details below and follow the link beneath each club to register. Online registration (with the exception of the Math & Mentoring club) is now closed. If you would like to sign your child up to a club, or have any questions, then please email Cecilia Clarke at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Do you have a student who will be in 8th Grade next year? If so, please see a letter from Mr Korinek below, with information regarding an organized trip to Washington in the Fall of 2016.
The WJHS and the WJHS PTO are not connected to this trip. A group of interested teachers, including Mr. Korinek, organize and chaperone this trip, in conjunction with World Strides. It is offered to students who will be 8th Graders at WJHS this coming fall. See below for further details.
We are still looking for volunteers to help us for Cafeteria duty:
All D39 school PTA/PTOs have agreed to use the IGNITE brand name for their fundraising campaigns that support enrichment programs. For WJHS, IGNITE replaces “Kids R Key”. Donations made to WJHS IGNITE will be used solely for WJHS Programs. We encourage you to donate to IGNITE at each of your student(s) schools.
